North East Together 20: Embracing complexity through collaboration

NET20 Twitter post.png

Collaboration makes the world go round...or at least it does for all us North East Together members. Collaboration is how we get things done, how we make change happen, how we make the difference we want to see in the world. Since 2014, North East Together members have achieved so much together through collaborative working groups focusing on governance, climate change, coaching, collaboration, funding, leadership and more.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead

The next North East Together whole network event will give us the opportunity to come together to create new collaborative working groups to work on what's important to you - to us - now. The event will offer the space to be inspired, explore, share ideas, form new collaborations and take action.

Why now? In November it will be two years since the first North East Collaboration Conference designed and run by the NET collaboration working group. At this event, the collaboration action fund was launched and ultimately eight cross-sector collaborations were funded. We celebrated these collaborations in February 2020, and together want to build on this great work.

This November, we will

  • be inspired with stories about local and regional collaborations

  • explore ideas and opportunities for potential collaborations

  • take action and decide to take the next steps to work on collaborative opportunities together

We will share more about the event including speakers and the process for bringing your ideas and opportunities for collaborations soon. This includes pre-event creating collaborative opportunities drop-in sessions and a post-event getting started well with collaborative working groups session. We will be putting out a call for your collaborative ideas and opportunities soon.

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." Helen Keller
