The essence of leadership? NET x Austin McNamara is North East Together’s seventh pop up event where we’ll hear Austin’s reflections on 16 years as a professional interim.
Growing hope and power: NET Pop-up event 06
Growing hope and power is North East Together’s sixth pop up event. Where we will be learning about how Dr Kate Paradine, charity leader and Visiting Fellow at University of Southampton, and Harry Annison, Professor in Criminal Justice at University of Southampton, explored, with other academics and charities, dynamics relating to the academic and third sectors, particularly the opportunities and challenges of collaborating to achieve positive change. Their project took as its focus women caught up in the criminal justice system and those experiencing male violence against women and girls.

In this event - our 25th whole network event - we'll be looking at Lankelly Chase's system behaviours of perspective, participation and power with the help of Dr Max French, assistant professor, Northumbria University's Business School. We'll be exploring the framework in an interactive, participatory way drawing in experiences from Gateshead, York and Manchester.

Learn from DataKind UK’s CEO Giselle Cory about how VCSE organisations have used their existing resources and information to reach new insights such as who you are and aren’t reaching, where to target services, and what further information to collect from service users. You’ll also hear about some of the tools that you can use to frame your challenges, support your team to understand and embrace new approaches, and build responsible processes.

Together we’ll build on and explore what we (NET members) have created in whole network events, learn from others, and create new tools and understanding. We’ll be looking to move from theory to practice together, and each leave with an understanding of our collaborative leadership strengths and a plan for what we need to develop and how we might do this.

Together we’ll build on and explore what we (NET members) have created in whole network events, learn from others, and create new tools and understanding. North East Together 22: Getting to know you and your leadership. The event will focus on enabling you to grow and develop your networks of support - reducing isolation, strengthening personal resilience and building social capital.
Being a great trustee (November 2021)
Being a great trustee is an online learning programme over four weeks with three two-hour workshops and self-directed learning tasks. Together we’ll explore the legal duties of a charity trustee and the skills, knowledge and behaviours you need to be a great trustee.
