Collaborate for social change…North East Together’s whole network event 23
We're coming back together at Newcastle University Business School for the first time in over two years for a mix of great speakers, action inquiry and guided networking.
We’ll hear about collaboration and collective leadership from Janet Whitley and Dot McLaughlin from Collective Leadership Scotland who will bring their wisdom, learning and some of their approaches to us in the north east. We have on our minds how the pandemic has affected how we collaborate and hope what we can learn from Janet and Dot will help us be super collaborators in the north east. We’ll also share the NET collaboration toolkit we've been working on.
Our outline timings are
16:15-16:45 - arriving, settling in, mingling and informal networking
16:45-19:30 - Collaborate for social change
19:30-20:00 - informal networking in the room
20:00 to later - more informal networking in local bar aka after party, if you're free
About Collective Leadership Scotland
Collective Leadership Scotland is a collaborative network that draws colleagues from across Scotland’s public services to help collaborate on complex, systemic issues in service of wider public service transformation. The emphasis is on building capacity for leadership that appreciates and engages with the whole system, including the behavioural and relational aspects, and where openness, learning and willingness to take collective action are at the core.
About North East Together
Our collective mission here at North East Together is to create the conditions, and platform for, collaboration to become the norm in the north east and to nurture a healthier social change system. Together we can do this.
We believe that bringing people together to tackle social injustice will create positive change - in our communities, organisations and the social systems we live and work within. Our network offers mutual support, enables collaboration and inspires social leaders. We offer a series of dynamic network events; whole day events; self-organised collaborative working groups; pathways into coaching; and independent social change events. It’s for leaders from the voluntary, charity, social enterprise, education, public and private sectors. It’s for experienced, new and future leaders of organisations, work, and ideas.
North East Together is hosted by Yes We Can and is a collaboration between Yes We Can and Newcastle University Business School.
