Yes We Can Lead and manage 2020
Yes We Can Lead and manage was a seven-month accredited leadership and management learning and development programme. At the end of the programme, you will have completed an ILM Level 5 Certificate in leadership and management.
The programme is for leaders and managers of projects, initiatives and organisations working for social change, and for individuals working independently for social change, in the north east. It’s particularly designed for those without a formal leadership and management qualification looking for a practical and comprehensive introduction to key leadership and management theories, models, frameworks, tools, techniques and approaches.
We last ran the programme in this form in 2020. We are running our current leadership programme - Lead and manage: Best self, great teams, amazing together - in 2023.
Programme elements
Workshops
2 x two-day modules: managing others and leading self. The facilitated workshops include small group discussion and reflection, individual self-directed learning activities, action learning.
1 x half day reflect, learn, celebrate session to share your learning, reflect on the programme and celebrate your achievement.
Assignments
2 x assessed assignments linked to the module content and applied to your work covering leading teams, communication, motivating people and individual development.
2 x assignment support sessions to answer your assignment questions.
Extras
There’s also an inspirational speaker, text book, workbooks, tools, resources, reading lists, and support from the facilitators.
We encourage you to meet in peer-led, self-organised tutorial groups and informal get togethers to deepen your relationships with each other and for mutual support and encouragement.
